What “managed” means here

You get a running Kubernetes cluster, not a blueprint for one. Setup, updates, certificates, backups, monitoring and the deployment pipeline are ours. You supply the container image or the repository — we do the rest.

We run the same platform for our own projects. So whatever runs at your end also runs at ours day to day; we usually notice problems before you do.

Where the clusters stand

In German data centres, on our own hardware — not at a hyperscaler. Your data is therefore subject to the GDPR without the detour via standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

No data flowing off to third parties, one point of contact for everything, and an environment tailored to the stack in use rather than to a modular kit.

What it costs

From EUR 10 a month for a single container up to EUR 10,000 a month for a highly available cluster with several environments. Billing is monthly.

The price follows what is actually running: compute time, memory, storage and the number of environments. Work beyond that — a migration or a new pipeline, say — is billed by time and materials at EUR 150 net per hour.

Moving existing applications

The most common case is not a new build but a move: an application running on a single server and hitting its limits there. We containerise it, build the deployment pipeline and move it — usually with a short, announced switchover instead of a weekend of flying blind.

What is different afterwards: you can copy environments, test changes before they go live, and roll back to the previous state if something goes wrong.

Where we sit — and where that matters in operations

In hosting, proximity is secondary, and we will not claim otherwise: a cluster does not get better because the operator sits in the same district. What matters is where the data is — and that is German data centres, not our office.

Where proximity does help is at the beginning and at the end: surveying an environment that has grown over years, handing over to your own IT, and training. For that we come to you. Our office is in Bogel near Nastätten in the Rhein-Lahn district, about 25 km from Koblenz; Limburg an der Lahn and Wiesbaden are part of our regular catchment area.

Ongoing operations themselves are independent of location. We look after clients elsewhere in Germany exactly as we do those next door.

CI/CD and monitoring

Every cluster comes with a deployment pipeline: a commit on the main branch builds the image, ships it to the test environment and — once approved — to production. GitOps, so that the state in the cluster matches the state in the repository and not whatever someone last changed by hand.

Alongside that, monitoring for availability, utilisation and error rates, with alerting. What we commit to depends on the agreed scope and is set out in the quote — not as an advertising promise on this page.

FAQ

Common questions

What does Kubernetes hosting cost?

From EUR 10 a month for a single container up to EUR 10,000 a month for a highly available cluster. Billing is monthly, and the price follows compute time, memory, storage and the number of environments.

When is Kubernetes worth it at all?

As soon as more than one application has to be maintained, several environments are needed or outages cost money. For a single static website it is effort without return — and we will tell you so.

Can you migrate an existing application?

Yes, that is the most common case. We containerise the application, build the deployment pipeline and move it with a short, announced switchover. The migration is billed by time and materials at EUR 150 net per hour.

Where is my data stored?

In German data centres, on our own hardware. No hyperscaler, no third-country transfer, no standard contractual clauses — the GDPR applies without a detour.

Who has access to the cluster?

You and we do. Access runs through named accounts, not a shared password. On request you get your own accounts with restricted rights, for example read-only access to the logs.

What happens if something fails?

Monitoring alerts us, not you. In a highly available cluster another node takes over without anyone stepping in. What exactly is committed is set out in the quote and depends on the scope you book.

Do we have to be based near you?

No. Operations run independently of location, and the data sits in German data centres anyway, not in our office. For the initial survey, the handover and training we come to you — from Bogel near Nastätten, Koblenz, Limburg an der Lahn and Wiesbaden are part of our regular catchment area. Beyond that we work throughout Germany.
